MILITARY
EDGED-IMPACT WEAPON SYSTEM
CLOSE-QUARTERS COMBAT

The Pekiti-Tirsia Military EDGED-IMPACT WEAPON SYSTEM is a combative skills program in Close-Quarters Combat (CQC) tactical doctrine specifically formulated for military special operation forces. This system provides the operator complete strategies, tactics and skills for the use of combat weaponry in the entire operational continuum of modern combat.

STRATEGY AND TACTICS

The Military EDGED-IMPACT WEAPON SYSTEM/CQC parallels military combat doctrine to close with and destroy the enemy by fire (Edged-Impact weaponry offensive and counter-offensive strikes) and maneuver (footwork and mobility) or repel the enemy’s assault by fire and close combat.

The strategic and tactical equation of Pekiti-Tirsia is close quarter in-fighting against multiple opponents based on the use of the blade. The essence of this equation is the continual combative process of offense, counter-offense and recounter-offense.

The distinguishing characteristics of Pekiti-Tirsia and of the Filipino combat systems is the principle that weaponry is instructed first and then progresses in the final stage to empty-hand skills. The strategic reasoning behind this structure is that:

(1) The nature of conflict and warfare is the utilization of weaponry – not empty hands.

(2) Attribute development – the use of weaponry and bladed (edged) weapons in particular, develops and enhances combative techniques and applications at a more intensive level and faster rate than empty hands training.

(3) The Filipino methods of empty-hands combat are derived directly from the application of weaponry versus having completely different methods of empty hand and weaponry technique.

The Military EDGED-IMPACT WEAPON SYSTEM educates the operator in weaponry skills with bladed, impact, and other edged weapons that directly transfer in application to empty hands combat and back to weaponry including tactical firearms.

Edged-Impact Weaponry combat techniques are tactically formulated on three (3) principles of application:

1. Self protection and maneuver against the enemy
2. Destruction of the enemy’s weapon(s)
3. Enemy termination

SYSTEMIZATION

The Military EDGED-IMPACT WEAPON SYSTEM is comprised of:

1. Combat Bolo /CQB/ Close-Quarters Bolo
2. Combat Knife /CQK/ Close-Quarters Knifefighthing
3. Combat Empty-Hands /CQE/ Close-Quarters Empty-Hands
4. Combat Bayonet /CQBT/ Close-Quarters Bayonet
5. Tactical Weapons Disarming/CQD/Close-Quarters Disarming
6. Tactical Weapons Retention/CQR/Close-Quarters Retention

COMBAT BOLO / CLOSE-QUARTERS BOLO

The Combat Bolo is the primary edged weapon for both combat and survival. The range, speed and power of the Combat Bolo gives the operator a decisive tactical and psychological advantage over the enemy in close quarters combat. The Combat Bolo is the primary edged weapon employed for sentry neutralization.

COMBAT KNIFE / CLOSE-QUARTERS KNIFE

The Combat Knife serves as the secondary edged weapon for combat and survival. Combat knifefighting tactics dictate speed, sensitivity and immediate action at extreme close-quarters combat range. The Combat Knife can be utilized as the primary or backup sentry neutralization weapon.

The Combat Bolo and Combat Knife system tactical skills directly transfer in application to:

COMBAT EMPTY-HANDS / CLOSE-QUARTERS EMPTY-HANDS
COMBAT BAYONET / CLOSE-QUARTERS BAYONET
TACTICAL WEAPONS DISARMING / CLOSE-QUARTERS DISARMING
TACTICAL WEAPONS RETENTION / CLOSE-QUARTERS RETENTION

Through the advanced principles of parallel methodology and transferable technology the Military EDGED-IMPACT WEAPON SYSTEM provides the operator a complete system of Close Quarters Combat/CQC for use with the full inventory of tactical weapons (edged, impact and firearms) to the multitude of field expedient weaponry found on today’s battlefield.
