Beginning his training in 1988 with the Supreme Grandmaster Grand Tuhon Gaje, including five years of private study in the Philippines in the advanced systems of Pekiti-Tirsia, Maginoo-Mandala Tim Waid was the first instructor promoted to Mandala rank, the first instructor of the Philippine Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance Battalion, and is the only instructor certified in all three systems of Doce Methodos, Contradas, and Contra-Tirsia Dubla-Dos.

YOU WILL LEARN:

• The original systems of Pekiti-Tirsia in the same tradition that Grand Tuhon Gaje was trained by his grandfather Grand Tuhon Conrado Tortal.
• The combat Bladefighting systems of Pekiti-Tirsia in their complete form with all weapon categories. Learn the original system of Doce Methodos - the key to complete knowledge, understanding, and execution of tactically correct techniques in combat.
• The systematic teaching and training methodologies of the Pekiti-Tirsia system that will enable you to analyze, classify, and counter any technique.

YOU WILL TRAIN and DEVELOP

• Strategic footwork maneuvering that will enable you to attack, bridge, enter, quarter, and neutralize your opponent while evading and countering your opponents’ strikes and attacks. Go beyond footwork patterns and exercises - execute tactical footwork in sparring and combat and never be hit.
• Proper execution of combat Bladefighting strategy, tactics, and techniques through individual mastery of all weapons, two-man and multiple opponent combat drills, technical and full sparring, and tactical scenarios. Combat fighting with the Live Blade – not sport stickfighting.
• Complete Empty-Hands close-quarters combat skills to preempt attacks, destroy an opponents attempt to enter, and dominate an adversary through the use of all natural weapons of the body. Discover the totality of fighting through the tactics and techniques of lethal empty-hands combat.

ADVANCED TRAINING

• Guerrilla Warfare principles and tactics employed against more powerful, skilled, or multiple opponents.
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of Filipino history and cultural practices and their influence on authentic Filipino Martial Art.

SPECIALIZED TRAINING

• Advanced private training, instruction, and travel in the Philippines with Maginoo Tim Waid and Grand Tuhon Gaje. Special training courses with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and other national security forces.
